Dragi moji, pokušat ću Vam objasniti što me motiviralo da se potrudim pronaći podatke za obiteljsko stablo. Obiteljsko stablo je riznica podataka pomoću kojih možemo shvatiti tko smo i zašto smo takvi kakvi jesmo. Omogućuje nam da vidimo veze između prošlosti, sadašnjosti i budućnosti. Izrazito sam ponosan na svoje podrijetlo i sva 4 obiteljska stabla čiji sam dio, ali sam shvatio da sam neke grane koje čine ovo obiteljsko stablo zaboravio, nekih nisam bio svjestan, a s nekima nikad nisam ni bio upoznat. Smatram da obitelj nije samo jedan od faktora u životu, nego bit onoga što jesmo. Naša obiteljska povijest je poput romana čiji je svaki pojedinac poglavlje, a da bismo razumjeli i dali značenje poglavlju moramo pročitati čitav roman. U romanu se prenose neke činjenice, ali mnoge druge leže između redaka. Neke se riječi izgovore, a druge ostanu neizrečene.


Ovo putovanje kroz povijest i sadašnjost je bilo uzbudljivo i dovelo me do nekih novih spoznaja, poput one da prezime koje nosim, Mijolović, sa utjecajem različitih svećenika i utjecajem talijanskog jezika je vrlo vjerojatno promijenjeno iz prezimena Mihovilović. Kroz povijest obitelji sam se detaljnije upoznao sa povijesti mjesta iz kojih obitelji potječu i s povijesnim prilikama kroz razna stoljeća. Ukoliko pogledate ukupni broj ljudi u stablu uvidjet ćete da su pogreške bile neminovne, te se unaprijed ispričavam za sve podatke koji su netočni ili koji nedostaju. Molim Vas da provjerite sve podatke, te mi sve pogreške javite kako bi bile ispravljene i kako bi obiteljsko stablo bilo što točnije. Klikom na pojedinu osobu otvaraju se osnovni podaci: ime i prezime, spol, mjesto i datum rođenja, datum vjenčanja, mjesto i datum smrti (Datumi su u obliku mjesec, dan, godina). Također za svaku osobu se može staviti kratka bilješka sa nekim važnim podatkom iz života ili uzrokom smrti. Moguće je imati poveznice između osoba i njihovih društvenih mreža, mail adresa ili web stranica. Preporučam Vam da koristite kompjutor za pristup stranici jer je preglednije nego sa mobitela. Fotografije su većinom preuzete sa Facebooka, te ih je moguće promijeniti ukoliko želite. Neki podaci su bili dostupni putem interneta ili kontaktom sa autorima različitih povijesnih knjiga, dok mnogi traže osobni odlazak u različite arhive, što je i planirano, tako da će se u budućnosti ovo obiteljsko stablo još razvijati.

U početku mi se izrada ove web stranice i obiteljskog stabla činila kao nešto što se može relativno brzo napraviti, ali bio sam u krivu, trebalo je poprilično puno vremena da bi se prikupili dosadašnji, još uvijek nepotpuni podaci, te zatim još više vremena kako bi se dovršila web stranica. Kao nagradu za moj trud Vas molim da pošaljete ovu stranicu svima onima koji su dio našeg obiteljskog stabla.

Nadam se da će vam ovo obiteljsko stablo omogućiti da se prisjetite onih kojih više nema sa nama, da obnovite neke davno prekinute kontakte i da uspostavite nove.

I will try to explain you the reason why I made this web page and a family tree. The family tree is a treasure trove of data by which we can understand who we are and why we are the way we are. It allows us to see the connections between the past, present and future. I am extremely proud of my origins and all 4 surnames embedded into me, but I realized that I forgot some of the branches that make up this family tree, some I was not aware of, and some I was never even familiar with. I believe that family is not just one of the factors in life but the essence of who we are. Our family history is like a novel in which each individual is a chapter and in order to understand and give meaning to a chapter we must read the whole novel. Some facts are passed on in the novel but many others lie between the lines. Some words are spoken and others remain unspoken.


This journey through present and history was exciting and led me to many new insights, such as that the surname I bear, Mijolović, with the influence of different priests and the influence of the Italian language was very likely changed from the surname Mihovilović. Through the history of the family, I got to know in more detail the history of the places where the families come from and the historical circumstances. If you look at the total number of people in the tree you will see that mistakes were inevitable, and I apologize in advance for any information that is inaccurate or missing. Please check all the data, and let me know of any errors so that they can be corrected and so that the family tree is as accurate as possible. Clicking on an individual person opens the basic data: name, surname, gender, place and date of birth, date of wedding, place and date of death. Each person has a short biography note with some information from life or cause of death. Each person can have link to their social media. It is easier to navigate this webpage from your PC or laptop rather than from mobile phone. Photos used on webpage are mainly from Facebook accounts, if you want to change them let me know. Some data from older, deceased generations were available online or in contact with the authors of various history books, while many require personal visits to various archives, which is planned in the future.

Beforehand, creating this website and family tree seemed like something that could be done relatively quickly, but it took quite a while to gather current data, and then even more time till the website was fully functional. I want to make sure that family all over the world knows our family tree. As a reward for my efforts, please help me out by spreading the word to other family members you know.

I hope this family tree will allow you to remember those who are no longer with us, to renew some long-broken contacts, and to establish new ones.
